VisionFirst Lakeshore Laser – Grand Opening April 18

VisionFirst is excited to have Sarah J. Hays, MD join our team of specialists. A graduate of the University of Alabama Medical School in Birmingham and past president of the UAB Eye Foundation Medical Staff, Dr. Hays has more than 25 years experience and has been in practice in Birmingham since 1985. She has performed over 20,000 refractive procedures and received training in all aspects of refractive surgery from some of the most renowned surgeons in the United States.

VisionFirst also welcomes Fred B. Setzer, Jr., OD as Optometric Director. Dr. Setzer has been practicing Optometry for more than 33 year and joins us from Montgomery Eye Physicians where he served as Medical Director of their refractive surgery program.

Our new VisionFirst Lakeshore Laser center in Homewood utilizes the latest advances in technology to ensure patients achieve the best, most precise results possible. Our new laser suite is equipped with a brand new VISX Star S4 Excimer laser system and IntraLase FS laser, including Advanced CustomVue with Iris Registration. This technology allows for a completely blade-free surgery. It is all done with lasers and is the newest, and most advanced LASIK procedure available.
